At FSU, we’re solving some of the world’s most important problems.
We want to partner with businesses across Florida to do even more.
Will you join us?

Technology & AI in connecting home and healthcare

As part of FSU Health, the FSU College of Nursing is building a smart hospital suite, located in Tallahassee and smart home in a 55+ senior community center in Panama City for integrated education, research, and advance practice. We will use AI, machine learning, sensors, non-invasive brain stimulation, and camera technology to monitor patients' health, track progress, and provide feedback to seniors, their families, nurses, and providers.

Why it matters: Smart and connected home technologies dedicated to healthcare can increase patient safety, improve efficiency and allow for quality remote care.

What you’ll get from the partnership: As a sponsor or partner, you would directly be involved in revolutionizing the way nurses are trained and health care innovation. Your company name can be branded on the project center, promoted as a corporate sponsor and can be engaged throughout the project design.

To develop an education campaign on the prevention of commercial sexual exploitation of children (CSEC) in the Big Bend area. The project consists of conducting workshops with local businesses, particularly those in the service industry.

Why it matters: Currently Florida ranks as the third highest state for human trafficking (which falls under CSEC) and second for labor trafficking.

What you’ll get from the partnership: As a sponsor or partner, you be promoted as a corporate sponsor throughout research and education phases, and will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in Florida’s future.

Innovation Investors: Engineering Startups

We’re looking for three corporate or angel investors to help fund startups among undergraduates in engineering. Your investment will help emerging engineering talent develop bold solutions to our most daunting challenges.

Why it matters: With support, our students can solve big problems. Just this year, FAMU-FSU College of Engineering students took inspiration from automotive tech to refine high frequency ventilators, eliminating the need for sedation—and lowering risk—for critically ill patients.

What you’ll get from the partnership: If you’d like, your business or participation will be promoted as a corporate sponsor of the College of Engineering startup program. We’d love your help to shape the ideas and work with our student start up teams, but it’s not required.
